The following business and places of interest include the practical (area restaurants and hotels) and the fun (state parks, marinas). If you are looking for something to do after training is over, or perhaps an opportunity to bring the whole family along to mix business and pleasure, these are all convenient planning resources.
In Stockton, we recommend a stay at Orleans Trail. With a marina, bar, and restaurant, you have all of the fun of Stockton Lake at your fingertips as soon as you're off the range.
In addition to the options available at Orleans Trail, Stockton is also home to Bongo's Bistro, where you can order from their
unique take on rustic Italian dining or opt for one of their delicious pizzas. Bongo's can be contacted at 417-276-2221 and is located just
west of the square in town (you can't miss it).
Enrique's delicious taqueria is open for lunch and early dinner. It's located one block south of the square on Hwy 39, and you can call in an order at 417-276-6503.
Sundae's diner is located on RB road, south of the square off of Hwy 39. A half mile down RB is House of Chong Lee Chinese and Korean Cuisine and the Squeeze Inn burger joint.
Stockton Lake State Park is a great option for beach and on-the-water relaxation. Thanks to the surrounding land being owned by the Army Corps of Engineers, the lake has been spared the fate of the Lake of the Ozarks and is a haven for those who love to sail, fish, and avoid the hustle and bustle of the "typical" resort experience.

Bear Creek Tactical is now hosting: International Defensive Pistol Association matches monthly. Shooters meeting will be held at 8:30am with shooting to begin at 9:00am
IDPA is a shooting sport that uses practical equipment
including full charge service ammunition to solve simulated "real world"
self-defense scenarios. IDPA shooting events require use of ever practical
handguns and holsters that are truly suitable for self-defense. No
"competition only" equipment is permitted in IDPA matches since the main
goal is to test the skill of ability of the individual, not the equipment or
gamesmanship.
